Proverbs 3

Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Proverbs 3:3 NASB

Why would we need to be admonished not to let kindness and truth leave us? We need not only make them a rule; they must also be written on our hearts. Kindness and truth must become a part of who we are at our core. Yet, how many of us are unkind to ourselves? How many of us believe lies that we are not good enough? God’s kindness and truth are that we are HIS, that we are uniquely designed and wonderfully made, not in some abstract way, but in a very real way. We have a role and a purpose and an influence, and when we do not practice kindness and truth to ourselves, we diminish God and we unknowingly influence those around us to believe these untruths about us, or worse yet in the case of little ones, about themselves. Women, take to heart the truth of God’s Word when He tells you the He DELIGHTS in you!
