Proverbs 8

Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him,
Proverbs 8:30 NASB

Wisdom was with God from the beginning, and God delights in wisdom. Wisdom is to be our sister (7:4). Just as parents always say that when children are added into their families, their love is not divided but multiplied, we must realize that as wisdom’s sisters we are welcome into God’s delight! We can rejoice that He blesses those who strive for wisdom. We won’t do it perfectly, but we can hold tight to God’s hand as He teaches us and grows us in His wisdom. We find life in wisdom (8:35). What does it mean to find life in wisdom? Obviously, there is eternal life, but when the Lord delights in us and we are walking beside Him, participating as workmen in His kingdom, then we will realize that He means that we will have joy and fullness in this earthly life as well. Live, love, and delight yourself in the Lord, for He delights in you.
