Proverbs 25

Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel;
Proverbs 25:4 ESV

Do you see the parts of your personality that are being challenged, the parts in which you fail and are embarrassed and just want to hide away from the world? God is challenging those parts to separate them from us, not have us bury them. He wants to remove the rubbish in order to make us into beautiful vessels. We shouldn’t fight Him when He chooses to enter into this process with us. As we see the weaknesses and limitations of ourselves, we can rest assured that God wants more than hiding and control. He will give us a clean, perfecting (not perfected, not till we are with Him) heart.
